The Minam
Motel & Market is introducing for 2009 summer fun and
recreation the new Trout Fishing by Rail experience!
An
unforgettable day of trout fishing on the scenic Wallowa
River begins with boarding the train a mere 100 yards
from the motel for the 7:00 a.m. departure. The train
provides access to nearly ten miles of unspoiled river
for you to choose to fish on. Consult the river guide
or a detailed map for fishing spots along this naturally
pristine and scenic route.
The train will return you by 4:30 p.m. so you can relax
and enjoy the evening sitting on the river and grilling
outside of your motel room or kitchenette. Guests are
welcome to use our fire ring for nighttime campfires, a
great place to unwind and relax with friends and
discover the abundant stars of Wallowa County with no
light interference.

Meet at the motel any time after 6:00 a.m. for a hot
cup of coffee, purchase a fishing license, or other
fishing needs.
The train departs from The Minam Motel at 7:00 a.m. and returns
about 4:30 p.m. Price includes lunch and beverage:
Adults
$75, $20 for children under 14
Also available are the popular half day trips, with
the train departing from the Minam Motel at 1:00
p.m. and returning at 4.30 p.m. Ticket prices are
only $40.00 for adults and $15.00 for children under
14.
