The 2005 northeast Oregon black bear hunting season is set for August 1st. through November 30th. You may bag a limit of one 1 male adult per tag. A black bear must be at least one year old to be considered an adult. The legal hunting hours are 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset . The resident hunting license fee is $21.50, and tags are $11.50 each. For nonresidents, the hunting license fee is $76.50, and tags are $151.50 each. If you are 18 years or younger, you must take a hunter safety course. Black bear can be taken with any generally approved big game firearm. You may use a bow and arrow.
